Amazon Unexpected Prime Charge: How to Fix It
You were charged for Amazon Prime and didn't expect it, or want to cancel and get your money back.
What exactly is happening?
Try these in order
- Cancel in Your Account. Go to Your Account and change your Prime membership settings to cancel or turn off auto-renew (Amazon Help).
- Move fast for a full refund. If you cancel within 3 business days of signing up or your free trial turning paid, you can get a full refund (Amazon Help).
- Know the later refund rule. After that, a full refund is only possible if you haven't used Prime benefits or made eligible purchases since the last charge (Amazon Help).
- End a trial early. Trial members can opt out of paid membership any time during the trial (Amazon Help).
- Check whether you signed up through someone else. If Prime came through a phone or other company, contact that company to cancel or get a refund (Amazon Help).
Still stuck? Prime memberships paid for with a gift or promo code aren't refundable (Amazon Help).
