CapCut

CapCut Export Failing: How to Fix It

CapCut gets stuck partway through exporting, throws an export error, or finishes without producing a video file.

Try these in order

  1. Free up storage space On iPhone check Settings > General > iPhone Storage, and on Android check Settings > Storage — CapCut can't finish an export with no room to write the file (CapCut Help).
  2. Lower the export resolution and frame rate Large, high-resolution exports are a common failure point, so drop both settings in the export menu and try again (CapCut Help).
  3. Close CapCut fully and reopen it A simple restart clears temporary glitches that block exporting (CapCut Help).
  4. Close other apps first Avoid exporting while other heavy apps or programs are running, as they eat the memory CapCut needs (CapCut Help).
  5. Clear CapCut's cache (Android) Go to Settings > Apps > CapCut > Storage > Clear Cache, then try the export again (CapCut Help).
  6. Update or reinstall CapCut Install the latest version from the App Store or Play Store; reinstalling also clears the cache and fixes minor bugs (CapCut Help).
  7. Export in smaller pieces For long projects, export in shorter segments and combine them afterwards (CapCut Help).
Still stuck? Contact CapCut Support and tell them your device, the size of your project and the export settings you're using — that's exactly what they ask for (CapCut Help).
