DoorDash Order Tracking Stuck or Not Updating: How to Fix It
Your DoorDash order sits on the same status — often "confirming" — the map won't load, or the Dasher's location never seems to move.
Try these in order
- Open the Orders tab and refresh the status Tap your order under "Orders" to see the estimated arrival time and which of the three stages it's at: being confirmed, at the restaurant, or on the way to you (DoorDash).
- Check whether the restaurant delivers its own orders If the store page or checkout said "This store delivers its own orders," DoorDash can't track it at all and you need to call the restaurant (DoorDash).
- Give it time if no Dasher has accepted yet The tracking map only appears once a Dasher agrees to your order; before that, the app may just be busier than usual (DoorDash).
- Message or call your Dasher Once assigned, use the text or call buttons below the status bar — if they don't reply straight away they may simply be driving (DoorDash).
- Check your internet and restart the app Toggle Wi-Fi off and on, make sure you're not in airplane mode, then restart your phone if the app still won't refresh (DoorDash).
- Turn on notifications DoorDash sends order updates by push notification, so make sure you've opted in to receive them (DoorDash).
Still stuck? Delays happen because of traffic, detours or a busy kitchen. If your order is running past the estimated arrival time, report it directly in the app or use the Help option on your order to reach live support (DoorDash).
