Facebook Feed Not Loading: How to Fix It

Facebook opens, but your feed stays blank, spins forever, or keeps showing the same old posts.

Try these in order

  1. Pull down to refresh, or restart the app Close Facebook completely and reopen it — temporary glitches are the usual culprit (The Windows Club).
  2. Check your internet Toggle airplane mode on and off, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, or restart your router (The Windows Club).
  3. Close background apps Too many apps running can starve Facebook of resources; clear them and try again (The Windows Club).
  4. Clear Facebook's cache On Android go to Settings > Apps > Facebook > Storage > Clear cache. On iPhone, open Facebook's Settings > Browser > Clear (The Windows Club).
  5. On a computer, clear cookies and turn off ad blockers Corrupted cookies and blocker extensions frequently break the feed (The Windows Club).
  6. Switch your feed setting Click the three dots next to Feed and choose Most Recent or Top Stories to force it to rebuild (Windows Report).
  7. Reinstall the app Corrupted app files can stop the feed loading; delete Facebook and install it again from your app store (The Windows Club).
Still stuck? A blank feed on every device usually means an outage on Facebook's side, so wait it out (The Windows Club). Checking your computer's date and time settings is also worth a look (Windows Report).
