Spotify Playlist Disappeared: How to Fix It

A Spotify playlist is missing from your library.

What exactly is happening?

Try these in order

  1. Recover a deleted playlist. Go to Recover playlists on Spotify's account page and click Restore next to it. Restored playlists show up at the bottom of your collection (Spotify Support).
  2. Act within 90 days. Deleted playlists can only be recovered within 90 days (Spotify Support).
  3. Undo right away on desktop. If you just deleted it, press Cmd + Z on Mac or Ctrl + Shift + Z on Windows (Spotify Support).
  4. Check you're on the right account. Try logging in with your other details — email, phone, Apple, or Google (Spotify Support).
  5. Many playlists gone? Check for hacking. If your account looks wrong, follow Spotify's hacked-account guidance (Spotify Support).
  6. Save regularly updated playlists. You can't recover old versions of playlists like Discover Weekly, but you can copy the tracks to your own playlist (Spotify Support).
Still stuck? Playlists someone else made can vanish if the owner deletes them or makes them private — saving the songs to your own playlist protects against that.
