Facebook Marketplace Not Working: How to Fix It
Facebook Marketplace won't open, is missing from your menu, or says you can't use it.
What exactly is happening?
Try these in order
- Check you meet the requirements. Marketplace is for adults with active accounts in countries where it's available, and it may not be available to everyone yet (Facebook Help).
- Switch to your main profile. Marketplace doesn't work on additional profiles — only the first profile you created on Facebook (Facebook Help).
- Try the mobile app. If the Marketplace link doesn't work, open Marketplace from the menu in the Facebook app for iPhone or Android (Facebook Help).
- Confirm your age if you were blocked by mistake. Adults incorrectly blocked can confirm their age in the Facebook mobile app, by ID or selfie depending on region (Facebook Help).
- Check your listings against the rules. Listings that break Commerce Policies can get Marketplace access removed. If an item was rejected and you think it should be allowed, use the Marketplace appeal form (Facebook Help).
- Refresh or update the app. If your access has been restored, refresh facebook.com or update to the latest app version (Facebook Help).
Still stuck? New or inactive accounts can be restricted from Marketplace for a while. Keep using Facebook normally and check back later (Facebook Help).
