Uber Account Deactivated: How to Fix It

Your Uber account has been deactivated or restricted, so you can't sign in or request rides.

Try these in order

  1. Work out why it happened Accounts are deactivated for reasons including terms and conditions violations, fraudulent activity, inactivity, security concerns and account requirement issues (Uber Help).
  2. If you deleted your rider account, sign back in within 30 days Uber restores a deleted rider account if you sign in at Uber.com within 30 days of deactivation (Uber Help).
  3. Sign up again if it's been more than 30 days Past that window you'll need to create a new account, and Uber recommends keeping just one account for both rides and Uber Eats (Uber Help).
  4. Drivers: check whether it was inactivity A driver or delivery account can be deactivated automatically after 90 days offline; Uber has a reactivation request form to start dashing again (Uber Help).
  5. Submit a deactivation review Reply through the form Uber emailed you, including your account details and any information about your case (Uber Help).
  6. Allow time for the review Uber's Deactivation Review Centre typically takes 5–7 business days and emails you the outcome, including any steps needed to secure your account (Uber Help).
Still stuck? If you can't sign up again with your email or phone number, it usually means an account already exists on those details — use Uber's "I can't sign in to my account" help page instead of creating a duplicate (Uber Help).
