TikTok Can't Log In: How to Fix It

TikTok rejects your details, logs you out on its own, or shows "Login failed, please try again later."

Try these in order

  1. Test your network Check another app works, restart your router, or switch to mobile data (VMOS Cloud).
  2. Turn off VPNs and proxies Sudden changes in your login location can make TikTok block the attempt (VMOS Cloud).
  3. Restart the app and your phone, then update TikTok These first steps clear most login glitches (TikTok Support).
  4. Reset your password On the login screen tap Use phone/email/username, then Forgot password, and reset via your email or phone number (iTechGuides).
  5. Log in on a device you normally use TikTok is more likely to block a login from a brand-new or shared device (VMOS Cloud).
  6. Clear the cache Use TikTok's Free up space menu, or on Android Settings > Apps > TikTok > Storage. Note that clearing data logs you out everywhere, so have your recovery details ready (VMOS Cloud).
  7. Check your account status TikTok's Account Check tool shows whether your account is restricted or banned, and gives you an Appeal button if it is (iTechGuides).
Still stuck? Report the problem to TikTok with the exact error, time, device and network, and expect roughly 24 to 72 hours for a reply (VMOS Cloud). Never give your password or verification code to anyone claiming to be support (iTechGuides).
