TikTok Video Removed for Violation: How to Fix It
TikTok removed one of your videos for breaking its Community Guidelines.
What exactly is happening?
Try these in order
- Read the notice. Go to Inbox → System notifications → Account updates to see which rule TikTok says you broke (TikTok Support).
- Appeal if it's a mistake. Submit an appeal from the notice if you believe the decision was wrong (TikTok Support).
- Know what happens next. A first removal usually brings a warning. Serious violations can bring a strike or a ban (TikTok Support).
- Don't delete content to clear a strike. Deleting the video doesn't remove the strike. Strikes expire after 90 days (TikTok Support).
- If approved, it comes back. A successful appeal reinstates the video (unless already deleted) and removes the strike (TikTok Support).
Still stuck? TikTok uses both automated and human review, so mistakes happen. One clear, honest appeal is your best shot (TikTok Support).
